MAIN CONCEPT
For the 2024 holiday season, Kiwie Studio teamed up with Gravity Team to craft a unique brand experience for their team & partners.
The project brought the brand’s identity to life with a bold, sci-fi themed gift box. A customized, 1 of 100 steel capsule containing a set of essential equipment & memorabilia for all new and upcoming Gravity Team crew members.

THE CAPSULE
Each Gravity capsule was fabricated from 2mm steel sheets, cut and processed at a specialist metal workshop. The logos and iconography were laser-cut directly into the steel before each capsule was powder-coated in batches. A custom rig held every piece securely in place for precise engraving, while the remaining graphic details were screen-printed alongside the accompanying garments.
The finished capsules were individually numbered and assembled with blue organic-glass components and a push-to-open mechanism. The result was a custom-built steel object that brought together industrial fabrication, detailed finishing and functional design.

SHIRT & PATCHES
The highlight of the Crew Kit was the uniform stored within: a custom-sewn, long-sleeve crew-neck shirt produced in Portugal, embroidered rank patches and a pair of high-performance moon socks. Made from a custom pattern, the shirt features a branded jacquard label and screen-printed details, including a blueprint of Gravity Team’s headquarters reimagined as a space station, with each of the ship’s quarters representing its real-life counterpart. A graphic on the right sleeve acts as both an application guide and placement template for one of three embroidered stick-on patches, disappearing beneath the patch once correctly applied.

BOARD GAME
Each capsule also contained a set of five stickers combining holographic and flat designs, extending the Crew Kit’s sci-fi aesthetic while presenting Gravity Team’s identity in a sleek new form.
To introduce a more interactive element, the kit included a custom set of playing cards inspired by Sabacc, the fictional card game from the Star Wars universe.

BEHIND THE SCENES
Bringing the Crew Kit to life required careful coordination across nine teams and multiple locations. The custom steel capsules travelled approximately 4,500 kilometres between five specialist facilities for cutting, bending, engraving, screen printing and assembly, using around 17m² of steel in total. At the same time, the garment underwent three rounds of revisions with the Portuguese factory to perfect its construction and detailing. From materials to finishes, every element was carefully refined to create a cohesive and premium final product.
